Many of us have expended unknown energy trying hard to topple these strongholds of ours on our own. We've tried pure determination, secular psychology, denial. But they just won't fall, will they? That's because they must be demolished.

And so God has handed us two sticks of dynamite with which to demolish our strongholds: His Word and prayer. What is more powerful than two sticks of dynamite placed in separate locations? Two strapped together. When we unite the power of the Word with the power of prayer, we ignite them with faith in what God says He can do.
